John Adams and 8th Wonder join Paddington toy partner line up for the series’ second season – ToyNews



John Adams, 8th Wonder, and Rainbow Designs have been named among an extensive list of new licensing partners and product launches to support the second series of the popular Paddington TV show.

Brand owner, The Copyrights Group has detailed its latest in licensing and product extensions for the hit series, The Adventures of Paddington, that launched in April this year in the UK. The series has become a family-favourite on Nick Jr. and Channel 5’s Milkshake, which has helped boost consumer demand.

The Copyrights Group is now expanding the brand’s licensing program with a variety of new launches for kids and families, working with leading licensees, including: John Adams on board games, 8th Wonder on wooden toys, and Rainbow Designs who will be launching further ranges, including talking plush.

These will be joined by the likes of Character World with bedding, Kokomo with toiletries, Fashion UK with daywear, Aykroyds & TDP with nightwear, DNC with bottles, lunch bags and melamine, and Moonpig and Danilo with their own greeting cards.

Additionally, Amscan will be launching new dress-up lines, William Lamb will launch bags, backpacks and footwear, Kinnerton will handle the confectionery, while Roy Lowe has socks covered, and Paper Projects will get stuck into Paddington stickers.

These launches build on an existing successful program launched in 2020 alongside the first series of the TV show, which comprises of books from HarperCollins, plush and toys from Rainbow Designs, puzzles from Ravensburger, ELAs from Trends, DVDs from Studiocanal and magazines from Redan.

“Paddington consumer touch points have been available for many years through classic and film content, and it has been a great journey to see a whole new range of Paddington products come to life to support the launch of the Paddington TV series,” said Sophie Kopaczynski, CEO of Copyrights Group.

Alongside merchandising, an increasing number of Paddington experiential offerings are also being developed for fans of all ages, including a Paddington exhibition at the British Library, Paddington trails with BRICKLIVE and more to be announced later in 2021 and 2022.
